1. You can assist the management greatly by getting your entries in early the opening
day of the Fair. This will enable you to avoid waiting in line and will assist the clerks in
eliminating the congestion that invariably occurs on Entry Day. Your assistance in averting
confusion will be greatly appreciated.
2. The Fair Board reserves the final and absolute right to interpret these rules and
regulations, arbitrarily settle and determine all matters, questions and differences arising in
connection with any exhibit.
3. The Fair Board will do everything to protect the safety and personal belongings of
exhibitors and visitors from accidents which may occur but will not be responsible for personal
injury sustained to any exhibitor, employee or patron, or any damage done to any animal or
property or any exhibitor, employee, or patron.
4. The Board will also do everything possible to protect exhibits which are entered but will
not be responsible for loss or damage which may occur. A night watchman will be employed by
the Fair Board.
5. All exhibits must be made or grown by the person exhibiting them. Livestock must be
owned by the exhibitor or exhibitors’ family, except for those with 4-H Lease Agreement.
Borrowing, hiring or temporarily buying animals or any articles whatever for the purpose of
strengthening their exhibits for show is positively prohibited and if the same is reported to the
Secretary or Superintendent, said entry will be barred from competition and will not be awarded
any premium.
6. All Divisions are open to ALL. All open class exhibitors must pay a $5.00 membership
fee.
7. Entries will be made at the Pembina County Fairgrounds in the Fine Arts Building on
Thursday, from 3:30 until 6:30 p.m. All livestock must be in the barns by 9:00 a.m. Thursday.
8. Exhibitors must bring their own bedding of sand or wood chips; and also their own hay
or feed.
9. Exhibitors must see to the labeling of their exhibits as entered, and to their delivery to
the Superintendent in charge of the department.
10. Superintendents will take charge of their respective departments and see that all
exhibits are properly arranged in their classes and that they remain undisturbed during the fair.
They will receive the report of the judges and deposit them with the Secretary.
11. The Fair Board will endeavor to get the most competent and disinterested judges to
place all awards, and all awards will be final. If it should be ascertained that an exhibitor has
made any false statement in regard to any article or animal exhibited by him, or if he shall
attempt to interfere with, or influence the judges in any manner, he shall be excluded from
competition.
12. Premiums shall not be awarded to articles or animals that are unworthy, even though
there shall be no competition.
13. Livestock may be released Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Entries in the Fine Arts building may
be removed 11 a.m. -2 p.m. Sunday. Otherwise, the exhibitor shall forfeit any premiums earned.
Exception to this rule may be granted by the Superintendent of Exhibits.

ONE ENTRY PER LOT
All exhibits must be entered in the name of the individual baking them. Exhibitors may only
have one entry per lot (i.e.: A1 White Bread, only one loaf of white bread; A2 Dark Bread, only
one loaf of dark bread; etc.). The only exception to this rule is lots containing the word “Other.”
Multiple entries will be accepted in these lots as long as each entry is from a different recipe and
the entries are different from those made in any other lot.
All exhibits must be placed on a covered cardboard or heavy plastic plate, then placed in a
Ziplock®-type bag.
