2024 Baja Race Rules

Car Requirements: These rules are for your safety, not our enjoyment!
• No four wheel drive or all wheel drive
• Working brakes
• All types of vehicles except NO pickups (cars, minivans as long as they are 2wd)
• All engine types
• Single class all vehicles will run in the same class
• Roll cage is required- inside or outside, 3 or 4 point roll bar of 2” or larger pipe bolted to the
floor with plates. Can NOT be I-beam.
• Car netting required
• Battery – stock or safely relocated
• Gas tank – stock or safely relocated
• Glass – remove lights front and rear, may leave windshield and roll down side windows. If
windshield is
removed, must have a helmet with a face shield. Side windows must be removed.
• Tires – stock or DOT approved car and light truck tires
• Bumpers if removed must have a home-made replacement. No sharp corners or any metal
that is unsafe. Bumpers must remain flat. No home-made V bumpers. May not extend out from
the side of the vehicle.
• Mud flaps are mandatory for all rear wheel drive vehicles and need to be wider than the tires
and hang
down to ground
• Air bags - removed
• Sunroof - must be plugged or covered
• Drivers - must wear a helmet, closed toed shoes, long pants, long sleeved shirt and have a
seat belt with a shoulder harness
• No passengers are allowed!
• No offensive words or signs allowed on car!
• Number - on car roof in the vertical position
• Doors must be chained or welded shut. Scuff bars are allowed as long as corners are tapered.
(no cutting edges)
• NO two way radios
* NO rearview mirrors
• Driver must be at least 16 years old or have a valid driver’s license. Drivers 16 & 17 years old
must have release form signed by legal guardian.
• Pre-registration of $25 by June 25th; there will be no entry fee refunds. After June 25 th
registration is $40 per car and driver
• Must have 10 cars in class
• All official’s judgments are final
Must be 14 years of age to be in pits, NO alcohol allowed in pits, and absolutely NO fighting.
There will be a driver’s meeting approximately 30 minutes before the event at 6:30 pm on
Saturday. Registration cut off will be at 5:50 p.m. To Register or for questions or additional

• Car netting - Drivers side netting recommended but not required
• Battery – stock or safely relocated
• Gas tank – stock or safely relocated
• Glass – remove ALL glass. With the exception of the windshield if it is removed, must have a helmet with a face shield
• Tires – stock or DOT approved car and light truck tires
• Bumpers if removed must have a home-made replacement. No sharp corners or any metal that is unsafe.
